Built in 1902 in the so-called Ring-street style, originally our Vienna hotel was the palace of an industrial tycoon in the Austrian-Hungarian monarchy, where he used the palace as a showroom for his products. Over the years, factory halls were built into the court of our Vienna, Austria hotel, which have since been reconstructed into luxurious lofts.

The house is interesting in terms of architectural history, since it was the first building in Vienna to be built with reinforced concrete ceilings and subsequently underwent multiple incarnations before Otto E. Wiesenthal rebuilt the house in 1991. The Altstadt Vienna originally was comprised of 24 rooms and suites.

Yet, Mr. Wiesenthal dreamed of having his own hotel which could house his huge collection of paintings. During the last ten years the house has been enlarged with apartments.
